How Can severe Sternum Pain Along With Neck Discomfort Be Treated?
Hello, my father (47 years) has been hurting at the top of the sternum area. He has been feeling this for a bout a week now. There is a lump and when pressed upon he feels a tingle go through the right clavicle area and a little bit to the left clavicle. Heavy breathing causes and frequent movement of the neck discomfort and pain in the lump area and any forms of heavy lifting or activity which require physical activity causes pain and discomfort. With the given information, do you have any idea on what this may be?

As a first line management, you can take analgesics like paracetamol or aceclofenac for pain relief.
If symptoms persist better to consult a neurologist and get evaluated. In that case, an MRI scan is required for further assessment.
